This charming book will appeal to children of all ages and adults too. I so enjoyed reading this book to my six-year-old granddaughter and I loved reading it just myself. These imaginative and clever stories take you into a magical world where pigs fly and wander through giant strawberry fields. I like the idea that these fantastic tales are based on actual bedtime stories created by the author’s father many years ago. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is a kid at heart,

The Winged Dalmatian takes a small boy narrating the story off to the land of the Whizpigs in the middle of the night where trees have friendly faces and give them hugs. The Whizpigs are seated around a campfire eating snails and roasting marshmallows.

This delightful book of children's short stories about the Whizpigs will spur on any child's imagination. My granddaughter who is six loves this book and asks for me to read her more of these short stories.

I look forward to more books by Richard Crume.

The author invokes bedtime stories from his own childhood as he creates modern, fanciful tales that are great for the little ones -- but interesting for adults to read as well. These stories carry morals about kindness and caring throughout, so I have enjoyed reading these to my little one and knowing she's taking away some good lessons, all while being entertained by the Whizpigs' grand adventures! Would be a great gift for someone with kids age 3-10.

I knew The Whizpigs and Their Wild Adventures - a book of bedtime stories - would be great to read to my grandchildren when the message of the first story is, “The secret to a happy life is discovering your very own special talent…” The author has created stories using the whimsical group of pigs his father invented for tales at bedtime, not only to share these special stories with his granddaughter, but also for other parents and grandparents to share these memorable moments at bedtime with their young ones.

I picked up this book to read for my grandchild at bedtime. Each episode is short and fun, and she seemed to look forward to the next Whizpig adventure each night. I wish I thought about writing this book myself! It is a great gift for parents and grandparents looking for an imaginative time to be shared with their little loved ones, especially at bedtime. I highly recommend it!
